

Figuring out what time period youre in is one of the difficulties.

A masterfully told tale, with flashbacks used to bring the reader forward, and a plot that increases my admiration for the trickster hero with every twist. Its one of Zelaznys experimental books - Lord of Light, Eye of Cat, Creatures of Light and Darkness, and Doorways in the Sand are all (and in different ways) experiments he made in writing. This has to be one of Roger Zelazny's finest works. He wishes to bring down Heaven and his rebellion drives a rift through the pantheon. Sam, the Binder Of Demons, is against the status quo.
